Prof. Dr. Ir. Karoli Nicholas Njau, the Managing Director ENVSOL Technology Company Limited received his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Dar es Salaam in Chemical and Process Engineering in 1984, Master’s degree at the Norwegian Institute of Technology, Trondheim, Norway majoring in Chemical Engineering in 1987 and a PhD at the Technical University, Eindhoven, The Netherlands in 1998. He worked at the University of Dar es Salaam from 1984-2011 as an academic staff and in 2011 he joined the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology in Arusha where he was working until Nov 2023 when he retired from public service. Prof. Njau has been doing research in various areas related to water, wastewater, energy and environment. In particular, he has been implementing wastewater treatment solutions with energy recovery, water and nutrients reuse. He has led several international teams working in the areas of water, energy and environment. Prof Njau has implemented projects in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Seychelles, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Prof Njau believes strongly that sustainable solutions to problems in Tanzania and Africa have to be developed from within. Prof Dr. Ir. Njau is also an Emeritus Professor of the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology.
Nuhu Moto is an Environmentalist and Engineer by profession. He holds a Bachelor Degree of Science in Municipal and Industrial Engineering Services. He is registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Tanzania (ERB) and by the National Environment Management Council (NEMC) as an Environmental Management and Audit Expert. He has participated in execution of various consultancy and research projects of local, national and international interests whereby his areas of engagement have been water, wastewater, sanitation and environmental management. Specifically, Nuhu’s undertakings hinge on the Planning, design and construction supervision of Water, Waste and Environmental management infrastructures, Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit for various infrastructural development projects as well as research on related topics.
Anjela Terewael Munuo is an experienced scientist in waste management, renewable energy, air quality monitoring. She also is experienced in environmental data collection and analysis ground and surface water monitoring. She obtained her bachelors degree in Environmental Science from the Ardhi University, in Tanzania. Having also trained in Health and Safety issues, she is the Safety, Health and Environmental officer of ENVSOL Technology Co. Ltd, overseeing all safety and health issues of projects.
Raphael S. Marco is an Environmental Engineer holding a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from ARDHI University and is a registered engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB). He is a highly motivated professional with extensive experience in wastewater treatment design and transportation, resource recovery from wastewater and solid waste, biogas production and solid waste management. As a sanitation expert, I am contributed to projects focusing on sustainable solutions for urban and rural settings. I am skilled with technical proposal writing skills, ensuring clear and detailed project plans, and overseen construction supervision for the projects, ensuring compliance with design standards, timelines, and budgets.
Jacqueline Godfrey is an administrative officer at ENVSOL, She obtained her bachelor degree in Public Administration from Mzumbe University. She has been working successfully in managing several tasks as a trainer for six years. Ms. Jacqueline also has experience in supporting administrative operations, managing organizational logistics and procurements, coordinating and supporting staff, managing office facilities and inventories to ensure they are in good condition, and working closely with every department to ensure all company goals are met.
